Data controller
The controller is DolceDomus, which manages the Esedra, Brancaccio and Laterano homes in Rome. For any request about your data write to info@dolcedomusroma.com. The company's details will replace these once it is incorporated.
What data we process
The contact details you give us (name, email, phone) when you write or book, and the data needed for the stay and for legal obligations at check-in (details from guests' ID documents, dates, amounts). Bookings coming from travel portals (Booking, Airbnb) are handled through an external management system: we keep an internal copy with the operational data of the stay — dates, amounts, status — and, for recent stays, the name and contact details we need to welcome you.
Why, and on what legal basis
To answer requests and manage the booking (contract or pre-contractual steps); to comply with legal obligations such as reporting guests to the Police, the tourist tax and regional statistics (legal obligation); for any marketing only with your consent.
Who we share it with
Only with necessary parties: public authorities (Police, City of Rome, Lazio Region) for legal duties, and technical providers who help us run the site and bookings, appointed as processors. We do not sell your data.
Where it is stored
With providers operating in the European Union. Any non-EU processing takes place under the safeguards required by the GDPR.
How long
For as long as needed for the purposes and by law (tax and hospitality duties require retention for some years). Names and contact details in our internal copy live for less: they stay for stays in the last 90 days and are then deleted automatically, while for older ones we keep only dates and amounts. Photographs of ID documents are not kept at all: the data required by law is extracted and the image is not stored.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing by writing to info@dolcedomusroma.com. You can withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
